The Unkabogable: Praybeyt Benjamin…knows what the Masa wants

Currently, this film of comedian-host Vice Ganda is the top grossing film in the Philippines. It surpassed another hit film “No Other Woman” and dethroned You Changed My Life starring box office royals John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo.
In recent years, it comes to my senses that Filipino moviegoers prefer to laugh than to cry no matter how significant and award-winning a movie is.  Face it, if you want drama you can turn on your TV and voila select afternoon or primetime drama series in ABS-CBN, GMA, and TV 5 etc.  To think also that artists that you see in Television are also the actors who you can see in movie theaters. Vic Sotto, a certified blockbuster comedian, has this unquestionable charm.  He knows what people want; even you know, you can cite loopholes in all his movies. When mass goes to cinema what they going to spend is their extra money, the first thing they want is something different and very entertaining because. And the Unkabogable: Praybet Benjamin gets this concept.
The edge of the movie is of course Vice Ganda and I think he’s one of the hottest properties of ABS-CBN. If you are all about fun and want to watch how gay he is being in military fatigue to go watch this flick. But if you are critic, don’t dare to watch, just imagine Mulan becomes gay and she’s living in Philippines. That’s how I see it.
